Districts

The Colonial Virginia Council serves a large geographic territory that is divided into several smaller districts. Each of these Districts is managed at the Council Level by an individual known as a District Executive.

If you are a parent of a prospective new Scout, you will want to first contact the District Executive serving in your District. You will also want to go to www.BeaScout.org to find local units in your area to join.

Find your district below:

  • Historic Triangle District: Counties of Gloucester, Mathews, York, the City of Poquoson, James City County and the City of Williamsburg.
  • Old Dominion District: Counties of Surry and Isle of Wight and the City of Suffolk, Sussex, Southampton, Greenville and Brunswick and the Cities of Franklin and Emporia.
  • Monitor-Merrimac District:  Cities of Hampton and Newport News.
