Who We Are
Scouting America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
The Colonial Virginia Council is the largest youth organization serving the Peninsula and Southside of Virginia, reaching families in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Suffolk, Williamsburg, Franklin, Emporia, and the surrounding counties. Through Scouting, young people build character, develop leadership, and experience adventure in a program designed to help them grow into confident, capable adults.
Our Scout Shop, located at Council Headquarters, provides uniforms, handbooks, awards, and other Scouting essentials to support every step of the journey.
