Yorktown

Just 23 miles from Jamestown Island is the site of the surrender of Lord Cornwallis' British Army to the colonial patriots in 1781. In 1930 President Herbert Hoover established a National Park in Yorktown. There are three parts to this program:

1. See a film - the Yorktown Visitor Center has a 16-minute film titled "Siege At Yorktown". After seeing the film you will need to answer some questions.

2. Walk through the museum - see the historic artifacts.

3. Walk the battlefield stations - there are 10 stations to be visited.

Please wear your offical Scout uniform.

COST: Entrance fee = $5.00 Patch= $2.25 (receive by mail)
