Bayport Scout Reservation
Bayport Scout Reservation is conveniently located in Jamaica, Virginia, with access to the Chesapeake Bay and operated by the Colonial Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America. From our first year camper program to our high adventure activities, Bayport can be your destination for provisional Scouts or large troops and crews.
If you are tired of making multiple trips to meet your unit's needs, then you've come to the right place. Bayport Scout Reservation is a full-service reservation with programs to meet the needs of everyone in your unit. Plus, you won't find outdated and old facilities about Bayport. The Bayport Scout
Reservation is a true vision of what the Scout camping experience should be. The Bayport Scout Reservation is 300 acres on the southern bank of the Rappahannock River. This excellent and unique location allows the Colonial Virginia Council to provide premier merit badge and high adventure programs to Scouts of all ages
Rappahannock Boy Scout Camp– Provides a place for Scouts to discover, achieve, learn and gain skills and values that last a lifetime. The Camp has 15 camping sites and state of the art program areas including: Scoutcraft, an Olympic size swimming pool, nature lodge and handicraft areas.
Rivah Base High Adventure Camp– This incredible high adventure base takes advantage of the mighty Rappahannock river with small boat sailing, water skiing , fishing, crabbing motor boating and one of the best COPE and climbing
facilities on the east coast. There is always another adventure at Rivah Base!
Chesapeake Bay High Adventure Sailing Experience (CHASE)- By the end of a week at CHASE a Scout will have saltwater in his veins. CHASE takes scouts on a 38’ sailboat to multiple Chesapeake Bay ports of call and during the course of the week not only will they learn seamanship but they will have an adventure on the historic waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
