About the Colonial Virginia Council
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling the timeless values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
The Colonial Virginia Council, BSA is the largest youth organization on the Peninsula and in the Southside of Virginia; serving the communities of: Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Smithfield, Suffolk, Surry, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Emporia, Franklin, Lawrenceville, and the counties of Brunswick, James City, Gloucester, Greensville, Isle of Wight, Mathews, Southampton, and Sussex.
The Scout Service Center and Scout Shop are located at 11721 Jefferson Ave. in Newport News, VA across from the FoodLion on Pilot House Dr.
