On this website you will find lots of information on the lodge history and the upcoming events. When you visit this website please take time to explore, then go spread the information back to your troops and your chapters. There are updated forms for all of the lodge events on the website.

Brothers:

We have another Beaver Day scheduled this Saturday at Bayport.  There is a lot to accomplish now that the snow has melted.  Because the weather forecast is for rain showers, we have indoor projects as well as outdoor projects.
Working at the shop will not be an option this weekend.  The Jamboree staff has it reserved for picnic table building.
Indoors at Birdsong Center
- Finish Rivah Base tent set-up and inspection
- In kitchen, clean; range hood, range hood filters
- In kitchen, clean convection ovens, stove tops, griddle
- In kitchen, wipe down all stainless steel surfaces; hot bars, cold bars, serving lines, refrigeration

Outdoors (weather permitting)
- At beach clean-up storm debris; rake up pine needles, pine cones, gum balls
- Begin removing frames and the feet from old tent platforms in Subcamp 3
- Move Rivah Base tent platforms to Rappahannock Camp (Site 15)

Be prepared for the wet weather; bring work gloves.
Coffee will be available beginning at 8:30 on Saturday morning and lunch will be served to all participants.  Overnight camping may be arranged through Ranger Joe, but units camping over will be responsible for meals other than Saturday lunch and the Birdsong Center kitchen is not available for use by overnighting units.

Brotherhood induction will be available;  those interested need to contact Tim Vandehay  and Wyatt Booth ASAP.  The requirements are attached; Brotherhood Evaluation Requirements - the fee is $15 and may be paid (checks payable to BSA or exact change please) at the Beaver Day.
The Winter Service Weekend patch will be available for $5 each with all proceeds going to Bayport maintenance and repair.  Again, please be ready to pay with a check payable to BSA or exact change.

I ask that you disseminate this information widely.
Thanks.
George M Homewood
